The intention is to help students expand on the skills they have already developed in prior years and then enhance and develop these skills further with interesting and varied write-on literature and language tasks. These workbooks assist teachers with additional material to extend their classroom teaching while encouraging students to build a useful revision resource for the end of the year.

The workbook expands on the skills students have learnt previously by recapping what they know already and then develops their ability to analyse a passage, paying particular attention on the idea of annotating a passage as they read it. There is also a strong focus on noticing the effects of a writer’s choice of words, sentence structure and composition.
